Lake Murray Sailing Club is proud to host SailFest 2008 for members and guests to celebrate a festival of fantastic sailing events!

Results of April 26th 2008 Sailfest!

.Everyone is invited to Lake Murray to enjoy good weather, blue skies, fresh air and the highlight event of our spring sailing season at our wonderful clubhouse and grounds. We will have a party, great food, entertainment and lots of door prizes after the sailing. Come on and spend a whole day of total FUN at LMSC.

A variety of events will be provided so that everyone may enjoy their favorite style of sailing: There will be “Challenge courses” and “Endurance courses” for those who like to demonstrate their boat handling skills, “Buoy courses” for those who are competitive in nature, and “Long distance/Island courses” for the laid back or aggressive among our cruising fleets. A host of prizes and awards will be presented to those who excel in their endeavors, and we are certain to end up with a great photograph album and video coverage of all the sailing activity.

SailFest 2008 is all about providing high quality sailing activities and social events. You will enjoy getting together with friends, making new ones, and strengthening relationships with other sailors (as well as with your own boat). There will be plenty of opportunities to sail with someone else if you are without a boat or have someone crew for you on yours. Feel free to post your Crew or Skipper wanted ad on the LMSC on-line "Crew Finder" page.

We will be expecting fleets of one design classes as well as those operating under PHRF and Portsmouth handicapping systems. LMSC has classes of Flying Scot, Flying Junior, Thistle, MC Scow, San Juan 21 and Laser. All boats are invited. Expect to enjoy some form of sailing or racing during this event.

LMSC is hosting and co-sponsoring this event. A nominal registration fee will be charged to help cover the costs of prizes and entertainment.
