LMSC hosted its annual "Scots-on-the-Rocks" Flying Scot invitational regatta the weekend of September 8th and 9th, an event open to all Flying Scot owners. LMSC and Flying Scot Fleet 158 were pleased to welcome Flying Scot sailors from all over the Carolinas District. In spite of lignt and exceedingly variable winds on Day 1, our friends in the Thistle fleet managed an excellent series of three challenging races. Day 2 rewarded the racing fleet's persistence with winds in the 6 to 10 knot range, offering one or two 12 knot "teaser" puffs to keep everyone alert. The combination of exciting racing, renewing old friendships, and making new friends is an experienced not to be missed. It is exactly what Flying Scot One Design racing is all about.
