About LMSC

Lake Murray Sailing Club welcomes sailors, of all ages in boats from single-person dinghies to 36 footers. We are a private, family-oriented sailing club with excellent facilities on the shores of one of the finest sailing lakes in the Southeast.

Two large lake basins and miles of coves are easily accessible from the club’s location near Chapin, SC. The club occupies a pristine rural setting on eleven acres and maintains the character of the region with beaches, pine shaded drives and grassy knolls.

We invite you to browse our web site so that you gain some idea of the sailing, social, and community activities that define the character of our organization.

Our club promotes sailing through an active racing schedule, cruising events, and instructional programs, for men, women, teens, and kids. We also sponsor a community-wide Introduction to Sailing program for novices, adult small boat instruction leading to US Sailing certification, and a summer Youth Camp Sailing Program.

More than 100 families hold membership in the club. Among them are day sailors, casual cruisers, club racers, and hard-core regatta junkies.
